Varun started his career with the film Fukrey in 2013. He played the role of ‘Chucha’ in the film, for which he won Star Guild Awards and Zee Cine Awards for best performance in a Comic role. In 2014, Varun acted in the Punjabi movie ” Yaaran Da Katchup.”

After that Varun acted in many films like Dolly Ki Doli, Dilwale, Raabta, Fukery Returns, FryDay, Arjun Patiala and Chichhore. In 2020, Varun has also been featured as the host for Flipkart’s comedy show (OTT video streaming platform owned by Flipkart), Sab Se Funny Kaun.
