She started her singing career at the age of 7 years with her parents support. Tanishk Bagchi, a film soundtrack composer who had a long career in the Bollywood film industry, contacted her in 2015. He paid Sharma to perform a love song for an upcoming movie. In the 2015 love comedy Tanu Weds Manu: Returns, Indian actress Kangana Ranaut was recorded and later dubbed over the song, Banno Tera Swagger.
