Early life, family and education of Sukant Goel

Sukant Goel’s birthplace is Muzaffarnagar, UP. He was born to parents who are doctors. His primary education was done from a boarding school in Dehradun. Afterwards, he completed Chemical Engineering from Mumbai. In 2009, he went on to pursue acting seriously from Satyadev Dubey’s theatre workshop.

Career

Sukant initially started working in a mining company in Ivory Coast. He worked there for year and a half and then joined the workshop to learn acting. This decision changed his life. He is a theatre artist. On stage, Sukant is known for performing advanced, avant-garde, absurdist theatre.

However, he appeared on YouTube which was also appreciated. Sukant has mimicked Salman Khan in a viral video for The Screen Patti (it has over 6.5 million views). Another video, ‘Every Non-Veg Lover Ever’, for FilterCopy, went more viral than the previous one. Sukant also appeared in the first season of The Better Half, a low-rent sketch series essentially stringing together a bunch of good-humoured wife jokes.

He first appeared in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which was directed by Dibakar Banerjee. He then appeared in Ghost Stories which was aired on Netflix. Sukant is mainly known for appearing in Kapoor & Sons (2016), Monica, O My Darling (2022) and Dobaaraa (2022).
