Sonyaa Ayodhya is an Indian television actress. She came into limelight after her shows like Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Nazar etc. She has also been the winner of Beauty Pageant Miss India New Zealand in 2013.

Personal Life

Sonyaa was born on 12 July 1992 in Mumbai. She is 30 years old (as in 2022). Her real name is Shristy Gupta. She completed her primary schooling from Diocesan School for Girls, Auckland. Then for her higher education she took admission in Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is an IT graduate.

Career

Sonyaa started her career at age 21 years only. She began her career as a Model in New Zealand. Initially, she did various commercial ads and appeared in brand advertisements. In 2013, she participated in the Face of Beauty International New Zealand pageant. With her hard work and beautiful personality she won the competition. She was crowned with the Miss India New Zealand title in 2013.

After that, she came back to India. Here, she started to work on her acting and modelling skills. She made her debut in the industry by a Punjabi video song titled “Dilli Sara”. The song got millions of views on it and after this Sonyaa became popular. She started getting offers from different directors.

In 2018, she made her television debut with the Star Plus serial “Nazar” as a supporting actress role. Moreover, she played the role of Daayan Ruby opposite Monalisa(Antara Biswas), Harsha Rajput, and Niyati Fatnani.

Then in 2019, Sonyaa makes her entry in the trending TV serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The serial was aired on Star Plus. In this serial, she played the role of a family member of Mr Rishabh Bajaj. Furthermore, Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Karan Singh Grover are the main cast.

Currently, she is been featured in the serial “Sirf Tum” on Colors TV. She is playing the role of Riya Kapoor.
