Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor, better known as Shakti Kapoor, was born on September 3, 1952. He is an Indian comedian and actor who has appeared in Bollywood films. He has appeared in over 700 Hindi films and is known for his nasty and humorous performances. Kapoor appeared in over 100 films alongside actor Asrani and Kader Khan as the funny or wicked duo in the 1980s and 1990s. He appeared in the Indian reality show Bigg Boss in 2011.

He met Shivangi Kolhapure in 1980 while filming the Hindi film ‘Kismet.’ They quickly fell in love with one another. Shivangi was 18 years old at the time, 12 years younger than Shakti. For two reasons, Shivangi’s parents were adamant about Shakti not marrying their daughter. The first was due to their age difference, while the second was due to Shakti’s bad parts in the movies. They later put Sivangi in a room to prevent her from meeting Shakti. Shakti and Shivangi eloped and married after a few days. After eloping with Shivangi, Shakti earned the moniker “cradle-snatcher.”

Shakti began his acting career in 1975 with the Bollywood film ‘Ranjit Khanal,’ in which he played Anand, a minor role in the movie.
He has appeared in Hindi films such as “Alibaba Marjinaa” (1977), “Sargam” (1979), “Qurbani” (1980), and “Rocky” (1981).
With the Hindi films ‘Satte Pe Satta’ (1982), ‘Hero’ (1983), ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’ (1984), ‘ChaalBaaz’ (1989), and ‘Baaghi: A Rebel for Love,’ he began to achieve prominence as an actor (1990).
He has appeared in over 700 Hindi films, including “Raja Babu” (1994), “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994), “Coolie No. 1” (1995), “Judwaa” (1997), “Gunda” (1998), and “Hungama” (2003).

Some of his flicks’ dialogues become highly popular. “Aaaooo Lolita” from the film Tohfa (1984), “Main Nanha sa Chotta sa Bachcha Hoon” from the film ‘ChaalBaaz’ (1989), and “Nandu sabka bandhu, samajhta nahi hai yaar” from the film ‘Raja Babu’ are some of his well-known dialogues (1994).

Shakti Kapoor appeared in many successful Hindi films during the first two decades of the third century (AD), including ‘Malamaal Weekly’ (2006), ‘Chup Chup Ke’ (2006), ‘Bhagam Bhag’ (2006), ‘De Dana Dan’ (2009), and ‘Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3’. (2016).
‘Yuddha Bhoomi’ (1988) and ‘Sahasam’ are two of his Telugu flicks (2013).
Shakti and his wife Shivangi competed in season 3 of the TV dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ in 2007.

Controversies about Shakti Kapoor

In March 2005, India TV aired a tape purportedly showing Shakti Kapoor allegedly requesting sexual favours from an undercover reporter posed as an aspiring actress in exchange for a chance to work in the film industry. “I want to make love to you… kiss you,” he told the undercover reporter.

Kapoor stated that the video clip in question had been doctored and that he was being falsely accused. He claimed the undercover reporter approached him multiple times and threatened to kill herself if he didn’t show up at the hotel room she had reserved.

Shakti smacked the buttocks of his co-contestant Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai whilst in the Bigg Boss house in 2011. He received a lot of flak from the show’s hosts, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.
