Pragya made her acting debut in the year 2014 with an Indian Tamil bilingual film named Virattu / Dega. In 2015, she was seen in the Telugu film Mirchi Lanti Kurradu.

Subsequently, she was starred in the period drama film named, Kanche. The film was directed by Krish. She bagged many awards for her excellent performance in the film. After this, she played a cameo in Jaya Janaki Nayaka.
