Career of Manoj Joshi

He began his career in theatre before moving on to television series like as Chanakya, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, and Rau (Marathi). Sarfarosh (1999), Hungama (2003), Hulchul (2004), Dhoom (2004), Bhagam Bhag (2007), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Billu (2009) are just a few of his acting credits. Joshi has appeared in almost 60 films to date.

In the Marathi television serial Rau, he played Peshwa Baji Rao I, which was created by Smita Talwalkar and shown on DD Sahyadri.

Joshi is the younger brother of late actor Rajesh Joshi, who is well remembered for his appearances in Rangeela (as Pakya) and Sarfarosh (as Bala Thakur).

Chor Bazaari (2015), Jaatiwad (2015), Thai Jashe! (2016), Love U Family (2017), Mantr (2018), Lamboo Rastoo (2018), Kaashi (2018), IMA Gujju (2018), and Odiyan (2018) are some of his other works.

He recently appeared in Odiyan (2018), PM Narendra Modi (2019), Jhootha Kahin Ka (2019), Laal Batti (2019), Made In China (2019), Mister Kalaakar (2019), Chasani – Mithash Zindagi Ni ( (2020). In 2020, he also appeared in Coolie No. 1. In 2021, he made appearances in Hungama 2, Rashmi Rocket and Jessu Jordar.   • Joshi’s father was noted for bridging the kirtan divide between Gujarati and Marathi traditions.
  • When Manoj was in the eighth grade, he moved to Mumbai from his village in Gujarat.
