Early life, family and education of Dimpu Baruah

Dimpu Baruah grew up in a humble family with no siblings. His father works in Guwahati, and his mother does a part-time job. Dimpu attended 1212 No. Madhabang Prathamik Bidyalaya and Choukhuti High School, Pathsala, where he failed in Class 7. Later, he changed his school to Brajalakhmi Bidya pith high school, Nalbari, and then to Debiram Pathsala High School, where he completed his class 10.

Dimpu joined Brahmaputra valley star academy junior college, Nalbari, for his college education, where he studied Arts stream in his 11th and 12th classes. After completing his higher secondary education with 1st division, he pursued B.A in English Honours from Nalbari College. He passed B.A degree in 2016 with a 6.9 CGPA and obtained a D.EL.Ed degree. Currently, he is pursuing his M.A. in English from Nalbari College.

Career

After obtaining his D.EL.Ed degree, Dimpu Baruah started his career as an English teacher. He initially taught English to students in classes 7 and 8 as a full-time teacher. However, after exploring YouTube, he became a part-time teacher.

Dimpu’s YouTube journey began in 2017 when he started his first YouTube channel, ‘Dimpu Baruah.’ His first video was titled ‘Nalbari Town by Cycle,’ in which he showcased his hometown’s development. Although it did not go viral, he continued to upload videos and gained popularity with his live video on Facebook about Gordon School, Nalbari, which became viral overnight. Later, he started his second YouTube channel, ‘Dimpu’s Vlogs,’ where he showcased the beauty of Assam and other places through his humorous vlogs.
