Early life, education and family of Ankita Lokhande

Ankita Lokhande’s real name is Tanuja Lokhande. She was also born on Wednesday, 19 December 1984. Her birthplace is Indore. Also, her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She also did her schooling and graduated from Indore. She was fascinated by the acting industry from a very young age. Her father’s name is Shashikant Lokhande who is also a banker. Her mother, Vandana Pandis Lokhande is a teacher. Moreover, she has a younger brother, Sooraj Lokhande, and a younger sister, Jyoti Lokhande. She also belongs to a Hindu Maharastrian family. 

Early career of Ankita

When she was in college, she used to perform at the Ganpati Utsav and Navratri festivals. After completing her graduation, she also got herself enrolled in Indore’s Frankfinn Institute to receive training for becoming an air hostess. Simultaneously, Ankita gave auditions for the talent hunt show, “Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj” and luckily got selected. She didn’t do the show, however, she received the title of ‘Best Dancer’ in the show. Thereafter, she started modeling and did many print shoots. 

Career

Ankita Lokhande started her acting career in 2009 with the romantic drama, “Pavitra Rishta,” which aired on Zee TV. This show was also directed by Ekta Kapoor. Here, she played the role of ‘Archana Deshmukh’ in the serial and became a household name.

Afterward, in 2011, she participated in season 4 of the dance reality show, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.” In the same year, she participated in the comedy reality TV show, “Comedy Circus.”Then, Ankita played the role ‘Pragya’ in the TV serial, “Ek Thhi Naayka.”

Later, Ankita made her film debut by playing the role of ‘Jhalkari Bai’ in the film, “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi,” in the year 2019. She also appeared in the movie Baaghi 3. 

Recently, she has also appeared in the show Smart Jodi aired on Star Plus. Moreover, she is going to appear on the upcoming show Pavitra Rishta season 2 which will be available on Alt Balaji.

Relationships

Ankita Lokhande was in a relationship with her Pavitra Rishta co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput. The couple also dated each other for around 6 years. However, they ended their relationship in 2016. Reportedly, the reason behind their break-up was Sushant’s growing friendship with the Bollywood actress, Kriti Sanon. 

Afterward, she found her love in the businessman, Vicky Jain. The rumors about their relationship started doing rounds on the internet after the 2017 Holi Bash. At the bash, the duo was spotted together. Then, the actress confirmed the same and started sharing pictures with Vicky on her Instagram account.

In 2019, Ankita, along with her boyfriend Vicky, purchased an 8 BHK flat in the suburbs of Mumbai. Their chemistry then started to spread across the country.

On 14 December 2021, she got married to her fiance Vicky Jain.

Controversies

Ankita Lokhande slapped her then-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput publicly outside Yash Raj Studios in the year 2015. However, she revealed that she slapped Sushant, as he was badly drunk and was weirdly dancing around girls.
