Akanksha started her career as a air hostess. She was an International cabin crew of Kinfisher airlines. After that she moved to Mumbai to start her acting and modelling career. She made her debut in the industry with the Tamil fil, Alex Pandian. In this movie, she played the role of Divya. After that she did a Malyalam film titled, Praise the Lord. In this, she played the role of Annie.

In Bollywood, she debuted with the film “Calendar Girls”. She played the main female lead role. To promote her picture she appeared as guest in the seiral ‘CID’ in 2015.
